Styling Razor Braids for Indie Rock Stardom

Hollye Bynum (left), Jilly Karande (center), and Janie Peacock (right) make up Brooklyn three-piece indie rock outfit, Razor Braids

Recently, CutLoose stylist Sabrina Siano had the incredible opportunity to work with Brooklyn's own Razor Braids, a queer femme trio making waves in the indie rock scene. With their magnetic sound blending the introspective nature of indie rock with the dynamic instrumentation reminiscent of '90s alternative, Razor Braids is a force to be reckoned with

The Styling Process:

Janie Peacock (left) Lead Guitar

Janie's style called for a mid-length cut with sophistication and flair. Sabrina chose a rich brunette single-process color that enhances Janie’s natural beauty while providing a solid foundation for her electrifying guitar riffs.

Hollye Bynum (center) Lead Vocals, Bass

For Hollye, Sabrina opted for a long cut featuring a dramatic heavy fringe. The vibrant red single-process color not only adds an eye-catching element but also reflects Hollye’s bold stage presence.

Jilly Karande (right) Vocals, Guitar

For Jilly, Sabrina designed a long layered haircut that adds movement and texture, embodying the energy she brings to the band. The layers create a soft, free-spirited vibe, allowing her to express herself both musically and visually.

At CutLoose, we’re thrilled to be a part of Razor Braids' journey, and we can't wait to see how their unique sound continues to evolve.
